What performance tweaks have there been in 3.24 ? Is the an improvement over 3.22 ?
Judging by all the test emails I get daily, I'm sure a lot has been changed
Best way is to dive in and test drive, cant be any worse.

There were some tweaks to some queries in particular to do with getting parents of assets. This could help with asset listings (and other types - eg calendar, news items) if you're setting a min and max depth - or if you're not setting any of them.
Search got a minor change as well.
I can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

I remembered some more
Most of the suggestions here made it into the 3.24 release.
In terms of performance (speed benchmark) didn't see any real difference between 3.22 and 3.24. It might be my imagination, but HIPO seems a bit quicker.

HIPO Jobs save status information less often (every 3%) in 3.24.x when running on Squiz Server. These changes reduce database queries performed during processing and should therefore increase performance of job processing for large jobs.
