A weird website access issue using the same login details

Hi,


A weird thing is happening during accessing our website's URL.



We have got a user (general user) with username guest and password matrix. A number of external people are accessing the website using the same username/password. However, some people are getting error "login key incorrect" whereas some people are not getting any error! I'm wondering why it is so?? Any help is much appreciated.

Are you running a proxy in front of the site? A proxy (configured incorrectly perhaps) can sometimes interfere with Matrix's ability to match up a login request with the page that was generated (security feature).

At the moment, MySource Matrix is installed in one server (i.e. server1) which will be published finally to PUBLIC through another server (server2). All the requests to that public server (server2) are redirected to our internal server (server1). All these redirections and new proxy rule setup for redirection have been done by a Squiz staff.



We are using proxy for the second server (server2). Most probably we are using proxy for the first server too.



Also, the website access issue appears when trying to access the website via first server (server1).



Please assist us how to configure the proxy to solve this issue.

I think you should contact Squiz Support. They'll know about the setup that was done while we are all just guessing.

If this is part of an existing project underway you can contact your Project or Account Manager to schedule the work, or if not you can contact our support team to arrange assistance. The forums may not get the immediate response you need, and are more suited to non-urgent advice.

Further adding to this issue:


Some user is getting this login issue with IE; but with Firefox everything is fine.
