We have recently noticed that the name field in our asset builders does not accept names that consist ampersands. Whenever a name consists an ampersand we get the following error message:
'You do not have permission to save the attributes of …'
Is this a bug and is there anything being done about it ?
On further testing, this problem is not just for ampersands…quotes and other characters cause the same error too.
This error does not occur when adding assets in the backend with these characters, only in the front end using the simple edit interface.
Can we have an update on if this is a known bug that will be fixed or will we need to write our own javascript function to get around this issue?

If the asset builder is not working, please submit a bug report and a developer will take a look. I’m not aware of any bug reports for this issue at the moment.
