Anyone else building custom assets?

(Nic Hubbard) #1

Just curious if anyone else in the community is building custom assets, or if I am the only one.

Would be cool to just see how many developers we have here so that we can all share our experiences.

I have a few good ideas for assets, so I might be putting them into practise :stuck_out_tongue:

I have one customised (rather than custom) asset on our intranet.

Its a slight hack of the sitemap asset, which only lists assets matching certain metadata field values. Its used to create a "corporate survival kit" which lists documents in an expandable tree by document type e.g. Forms, Policy, etc (This is the metadata field). The tree is then made of folder assets, split into subject area etc.

Anyone other than Nic doing anything for the GPL version?

I've submitted some hefty performance tweaks (roles queries) and various minor bug fixes!

I will DEFINITELY give you props for that! You wrote the list_current_asset_id functionality, correct? I use that constantly. Probably one of the best features that I have seen added to Matrix in a while.
