Anyone using a php accelerator?

Hello,


I was wondering whether anyone was using something similar to:

in combination with matrix? Any downsides to using this? is it even possible?

Hi Dale,


We use the Turck MMcache PHP accelerator (http://turck-mmcache.sourceforge.net/index_old.html) with Matrix on our servers and it works well.

well I installed http://www.php-accelerator.co.uk/ and it seems quite quick although without benchmarking I can’t say how much of course. Haven’t encountered any errors or quirks though…so it seems Matrix friendly.

Zend's optimizer is a good one as well.

Isn’t Turck MMCache a defunct project and EAccelerator picked up where MMCache left off?


If anyone does (or has done) some benchmark on the various accelerator with Matrix, I for one would be very interested in knowing the results.
