Asset Builder. Metadata. Use Default?

Hello

I have an asset builder, creating a bulkmail user with additional metadata.

I have to questions.

  1. How can I set the "Use Default" option to off and hide this value? (I never want to use default)
  2. How can I change the sequence of input fields, to have Email & Name first, then followed by the Metadata fields?

    Background Details.

My client would like to set up some bulkmail users, and collect more than simply name/email for these users. (For reporting and management purposes)

They way I have approached it is to set up an asset builder and attach a metadata schema to it.

It works, but has a few usability issues we'd like to clean up.

Namely, the "Use Default" option, and the sequence the fields are displayed on the screen.

I've had a look in paint layouts, and I can only see the %create_form% keyword. Am I missing a breakdown of these?

    Many thanks

    Ian

Hey Ian,

Customise the create form and go to the "Bulkmail user create form layout" You should list of keywords that can be used to change the way it looks.

For example, on the page, you'd put something like this:

Name: %details-F_name%

Email: %details-F_email%

Company:
%metadata-F_19001%

Position: %metadata-F_19002%

Edit: By placing the individual metadata items, this gets rid of the default. I just remembered this is the way I got around it with mine!

Hey there, thanks for your response. I'll try it, but won't get a chance to respond until tomorrow.

Okayyy! Thanks. it works a treat. I have a little formatting to do, but the concept is working.

It took me a while to work out the customisation, I've not done one that way before.

But it's a result.

Thanks for your help
