Asset finder not playing in Firefox 31.1.1 - Windows 7

#1

Hi Guys,

  1. I have looked at all the post relating to the issues experienced with the asset finder in Edit+.
  2. We are currently running version 1.5.0.
  3. Browser Firefox 31.1.1
  4. Windows 7
  5. Widescreen monitors

The issue is that the asset finder breaks in display where by the  asset in the columns are all jumbled making it hard to select an asset in the asset finder. I know Bart has helped in the past ! Thanks Bart! but with every Browser update causes more issues.

Usually this is relating to the zoom on the browser and 80% usually sets it right.

However we have one user where this doesn't work.

Decreasing the browser zoom in the asset finder just decreased the size of the asset finder and the assets are still all unusable.

I can't put my finger on it as I am running the exact same system and set up.

To note the Editor can use Internet Explorer so it isn't stopping her from working but I would love to know any fix as we do have up to 400 + users using Edit+

thanks guys!

Update - on reloading firefox 31.1.1 I too can replicate the issues experienced. Is anyone else having issues with the latest version of Firefox on Windows Machines? Firefox 32 on my Mac all ok

Uninformed initial response: I don't know if it's still the case, but browsers sometimes have two "zooms". The first zooms everything, and is called zoom, and that sounds like what you have tried. The second is called "text size" or similar, and zooms only the text. The latter, if it exists in FF31, is what you probably want to adjust. Alternatively, check that the user does not have different text size set at the OS level (Win/Mac/whatever).

Thanks heaps Tom - I’ll check it out. Initially I did check the OS fonts but I’ll recheck again.
