does anyone know how Asset group work? i've try apply asset group to my asset listing page and have selected the asset i wanted to group but whats next after that? does seem to do anything

Asset Group allows you to group your results by certain criteria like asset type, metadata value or parent asset, etc.
The group format is like doing the "page contents" for each grouping.
Have you read the manual for asset listings?
