Asset list depending on metadata field?

hi,
i have an asset list and i want the assets to be displayed only if they have information in certain metadata field.



is that possible?

That's more of a search than a listing. The search page should be able to do what you're after, but you'd have to put the content to search for into the link to the search page. For example: ./?a=123?metadata_query=textosearchfor


If you can get a search page working to find the data, we could help with the URL bit.

ok, i am going to have to download some documentation cos i have no idea how to do that.
just to be sure, i need to create a search list and a search page?

You just need a search page configured to search the metadata field.
