Asset Location

I'm setting up a new site, and I'm just curious what everyone's preferred location for supporting assets is. By this I mean assets you don't want users to be able to visit via a web path. Things like:

  • Nestable asset listings and content.
    [*]Database connectors.
    [*]404 pages.

    I just noticed you can create a folder at the root of the asset map which doesn't have any web paths. Are there any down-sides to using a location like this, or is there a more standard location?

    I always create a "Nested Content" Folder under my site asset and then remove the webpaths.

    Thanks for that. I went with the root folder approach, and haven't had any problems so far. I can never quite tell if being able to do something unusual in Matrix is a feature or a bug.
