Asset Sorting In Create Locations

Hi


We have a folder with lots of other folders inside inside it. I have run the Sort Tool over this folder to sort all its sub folders alpabetically.



We have an Asset Builder using Create Locations that is set at the top folder, so it lists all the sub folders in a drop down with multi select enabled.



This drop down still sorts the sub folders by their asset ID, not by the order they are listed in the Tree. Even if I manually drag a sub folder up or down the tree, they are still sorted by the ID on the Asset Builder page.



How can I get this to sort them by the order they are in the Tree?

At the moment, no. But, I have already submitted a Feature Request for this.

I don't think there is any way to do that. The code that creates that drop-down orders by the path assigned to the asset at the time it was created. This path does not change as you reorder those folders.


In theory, moving all the folders out and then back in again (one at a time) would change the ordering, but what you really need is for that default sort to be amended.
