On one of our websites we have a section of News Items and we are wanting to set up a new section where archived News Items csn be accessed. In order that people know the News Item is archived, however, we are wanting "ARCHIVED" to appear in front of the summary (being used as the title).
As far as the Asset Listing Page listing page, this is easy. I have simply placed the word "ARCHIVED " in front of the type format. However, I am being told that when the news item is opened it is to be clear the news item is an archived one with "ARCHIVED" appearing in front of the title.
The way that comes to mind for doing this is for every news item we archive going in to the asset and entering "ARCHIVED " in front of the summary. If this is what we have to do then this is what we have to do, but is there a way in which to automaticcally do this when a news item is moved from the current news items to the archived news items?
Are you holding these "archived" news items in a different root node than the normal news items?
If so, just apply a paint layout, then when you are layout out your keywords just add your ARCHIVED text.
Or is your requirement that you HAVE to put the text in your title attribute?
Many thanks Nic - thats perfect. Out come my MATR 201 notes!!!
