Automatically release lock(s)

I am testing about releasing lock(s).

  1. I make sure that the default interval time is 10 minutes (600 -> Set in System Configuration).
  2. I acquired lock an asset and waited 10 minutes for releasing.
  3. When I viewed detail screen again (after more than 10 minutes),

    Lock Details displayed "The lock is due to expire in 9 minutes and 54 seconds."
  4. So, I refresh, refresh and refresh the screen. The time decreases but never decreases less than 8 minutes. It will back to 9 mins … seconds again.
  5. Nobody can upload the asset because the lock is not released.



    I think that when more than 10 mins, the system will release the asset automatically.

The top frame of the editing interface is keeping your lock because you are still editing the asset. If you move away from that asset, or close the interface, your locks will expire. Our goal is to not let your lock expire while you need it.

The lock has already released.

I wonder if I set interval time in System Configuration = 0 or do not enter anything.

Does that mean no releasing until user presses Release Lock(s) button??

The interval has a min value of 60 seconds. here is no way to stop the top bar refreshing and no way to stop a lock from being released until they press Release Lock.
