Caching problem in 3.10.3

 Hi all

Currently in our production environment we have got 3.10.3 installed

  1. What is currently happening is that, when a client makes changes to their sites the information get displayed ok inside mysource martix, but when they view it by typing the url in a browser it doesn't show up with the changes they have made. Unless they type _nocache next to their pages then only it will work. :o

The clients have told us that they don't want anyone typing the nocache command at any cost as we are a large organisation.

We have got a patch for this which is already applied in one of our dev environment, but the management is a bit worried about applying this patch on the production environment, because we are in a critical part of the month where a client will go live.

So what we did so far is to bring the caching from 24 hrs to 1hrs and that doesn't even help the cause of it. Not working

I believe we have a 7 day caching in our organisation. Is it possible to bring that to 1 hr or is it too dangerous. <

In our test environment which is 3.10.2, we are not having the caching problem. What I don't understand is why it is broken by upgrading to 3.10.3. Driving me mad to the wall :o

Your organisation has external cache servers that are the cause of this problem. You need to speak directly with Squiz to investigate mechanisms to alleviate this problem.

All good and well. But how come it works fine on 3.10.2 in our test environment. <_<

I suspect that’s possibly because your test environment is not cached by the external servers at all.

Our entire environment is cached by the external servers. Avi I believe you know the architecture of our organization very well.

If you would like to discuss the architecture of your environment, I suggest you do so offline for security reasons. Going through Squiz Support for this is the way to go.
