Hi all
it's clear that how the asset builder looks will depend on what asset it is building.
I was wondering if this is possible: say I was building a news item.
is there anyway to configure it so that when i drop the text in the 'body' or 'summary' section, their styles are defined and no need for the user to muck around and choose a style etc?
Also, any tips for configuring/customising the wysiwyg/form of the asset building will be most helpful.
Cheers
To apply styles to the text that you drop into the WYSIWYG editor in an asset builder you need to create CSS with greater specificity than the CSS used by the asset builder.
It is possible.
As for configuring what tools are available in the WYSIWYG this can be done from System Configuration Screen for Global Preferences (would change for all users of the system) or for a user Role can be set on the Roles ‘Preferences’ screen. The later would be the recommended way to change the WYSIWYG for a specific group(s) of users.

Thanks James I’ll give that a go.
On a side note, stuff like, copy and pasting from word into the WYSIWYG… and the formatting goes funny (in particular paragraphs tend to give extras lines)… what can we do about that? Can that be overridden with the CSS etc?

You can also use the Replace Text tool to remove some of Word’s excess HTML.

Heh, it depends on how agressive you get. Word uses a LOT of non-standard HTML to mark up its content, so when its removed, a lot of the formatting is lost.
