Changing designs of 2 different sites

Hi,
I've got 9 sites I've created and populated for testing purposes (v3.6.1, Oracle).

The Squiz Server is not switched on so setting all those sites to live and giving read permission to the public user took a while.

Now I'm trying to set a design for those sites. I've got a customised design and I applied to one site. To save some time, I though I'd open a different browser, log in as a different user, and apply the same design to a different site. That doesn't work though. I get the following message:

A HIPO Job with this code name is currently run by "Root User" (Id: #12)

. last updated at 09/11/2005 16:10:44 [HIPO0041]

On the settings screen of those sites, the Change? line is populated with the design asset but the Current is none.

  1. Does that mean that the change is queued?

  2. Does that means that 2 concurrent users cannot apply a design at the same time? Is it because it is the same design?

    Cheers.
  1. No - you should run the HIPO again.

  2. Concurrent different users can do this. The problem is that you logged in as Root in both sessions – without the Squiz Server, this can cause problems as the process may pick up the wrong HIPO job when it reloads each page in the browser.

I usually recommend creating multiple System Administrator users if you want to perform multiple actions simulatenously.

Hi Avi,
2. I assumed it may have been it and that's why I did test with 2 different users prior to my initial post:
[…] open a different browser, log in as a different user, and apply […]
I first logged in as root on Camino, start the job and then as me (a sys admin) on FF, the second job gets that error message.
