Hi all,
A few of us here have been getting a Java error on one of our Matrix installs when we use the “Show in Asset Map” binoculars icon. The Java asset map works okay, but this icon just instantly displays the error whenever it's clicked.
The Matrix install is in our DMZ so we can communicate to it on port 80 and 22, but it can't establish communications back to us. Not sure if that's a possible issue, but the fact that it works sometimes would indicate that's not the case (unless there's some funky network issue at play here).
It seems to happen on and off, but lately I've been getting it consistently. It's a massive pain, so I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone else knows what's going on.

Hi Ash,
There was a bug filed/fixed in relation to this. Check this out.

D'oh. Thanks. I'll stuff around with my Java install and see if I can get it working.
Can you update your Java to latest version. It should fix the issue.
If it doesn't, you will have to patch up the Matrix instance with what Ash said in last comment.
Backup following two files.
Download latest version of Matrix, overwrite following two files with the ones in latest version.
core/lib/asset_map/java/complexassetmap.jar
core/lib/asset_map/java/assetmap.jar
It should fix the issue then. No additional step required.
