We're only giving authors front end access to the CMS. We are able to allow authors to do everything they need to do with the exception of redirect pages. I can create the page in the front end but have to go to the backend to add the redirect information. Is it possible to add this functionality to the front end?
A feature to do this was added in version 3.10. Previously, you couldn't access _edit on a redirect page because you were redirected.
