Creating remote content pages with an asset builder

Hi there


I'm trying to use an asset builder to create remote content pages, but none of the keyword replacements in the create form layout seem to work - eg %details-F_name% or %details-F_remote_url% etc.



Is this a bug in Matrix, or is this an expected behaviour? I'd find it really useful to get this working.



Any help much appreciated!

I've looked at this and it appears to be a bug, I've reported this: http://bugs.matrix.squiz.net/view_bug.php?bug_id=5141



Just a thought though is it a remote content page you want to create from an asset builder or actually a redirect page that you are after

Hi Dave, thanks heaps for that:)


It's definitely remote content I'm after… we have some pretty nasty HTML coming out of a database that needs to be presented nicely in one of our sites. The database is a bit too big to bring into Matrix with one of the DB connection assets, so I'm pretty sure remote content is the way forward!

This issue has now been fixed and will be available in version 4.6.0 which I believe will be in November (but not 100% on that)
