Customer detail fields not displaying on Checkout

G'day guys,

I am very new to this stuff and not a coder but a designer so I apologise, in advance, for any stupid comments I may make.

I'm trying to construct an online-store using the e-commerce module and following the example at the back of the manual. For the most part this is working fine but…

When the customer checks-out, the fields for them to enter their details (name, address, city etc) don't display. The questions have been set-up and linked and they show fine but the accompanying fields don't.

Any idea what I can try? I've enclosed some details which I hope helps.

This is the code for the Format bodycopy in the delivery asset:

%form_errors%

Name: %form_715_q1%

Address: %form_715_q2%

State/Territory: %form_715_q3% Postcode: %postcode%

Country %form_715_q5%

Daytime phone: %form_715_q6%

Email: %form_715_q7%

This is the code for the confirmation bodycopy under the delivery asset:

%form_q1%

%form_q2%

%form_q3% %form_q4%

%form_q5%

%form_q6%

%form_q7%

This is the code for the confirmation bodycopy under the checkout asset:

Order confirmation

Please confirm your order and delivery details before proceeding to payment.

Order details: %confirmation_summary%

Delivery details: %cart_summary%

%confirm_order_button% %return_to_checkout_button%

So quite a few views on this topic but no replies yet. Have other people run into this issue using e-commerce? Would it help to clarify something?

Hi Nick,

The overall setup seems fine from your description. One thing to check is to ensure that the "715" in the field keywords matches the Asset ID of your form. The correct keywords should be available in a drop-down list in the bodycopy.

Ah right, that does seem like a classic newbie mistake. I thought part of this might be example or placeholder text, but I just don't know enough to know what I should be looking at. I will try this. Thanks!
