Hi there
I removed the workflow schema running on our intranet site but the changes didn't cascade all the way through, given the varying states of assets (some up for review, safe edit etc). I deleted the schema, but it continued to live on in the trash.
I was slowly going through and removing the workflow schema manually from the individual assets, but as you can imagine, that was quite painful. So clever me thought I'll purge the trash and that will solve my problem.
Unfortunately now, I have some assets with a non-existent workflow "running" and some that have "applied" and a "delete" heading, but no details and no ability to delete the ghost schema.
We are running a very old version (3.12) whilst awaiting for our IT support to upgrade.
Am I totally stuffed, or is there some magical way to fix this either now, or in a later version?
I believe the 'magical' way is to use a database query to remove the workflow, but if I recall correctly it's not a simple matter of just copying and pasting a query, it needs to be written specific to your system. I'd suggest contacting support, it's something our devs have handled before.
(incidentally later versions warn you that items are being used before being placed into the trash - you can even 'safe trash' them which will prevent you from being able to do actually trash an asset that is being used).
