I am looking for a way to delete TYPE 3 and TYPE 2 links from the front end (I.e. not simple edit linking screen). I understand that it is possible to create links from the front end using the Create Link Trigger and the Link Manager Page. As yet I haven't found a way to delete TYPE 2 links from the front end and I haven't found a way to delete TYPE 3 links even in the administration interface of MySource.
I have read on these forums that it is possible to delete an asset by using the Creat Link trigger to create a Link to the trash and unlink from everywhere else. Obviously this is no use in this case as I only wish to delete a link from one parent, rather than remove all links from all parents.
I have had the idea to delete links to all parents and then somehow set up a trigger to recreate all the links you wish to keep. Is this possible?
Another Idea was to somehow set up a Hipo Herder Job to delete the Link, can this be done from the front end?
I would greatly appreciate any help anybody could give me with this problem.
Have you taken a look at the Remove Links trigger? It is very flexible, allowing you to pass in dynamic parameters for both parent and child assets.

Not entirely sure what version, we have a system running 3.18.8 which has that trigger.
If this is a not a Squiz SLA install, you could always try backporting the trigger.
I can remember options for removing a link in triggers as far back as 3.8 and 3.10
