Hi
I'm just trying to create a metadata schema (user defined: description and keywords, system defined: title and date). I've managed to create it, apply it to a test area and complete some test metadata for a page. However, when I previewed the page and looked at the source, I could only see the system defined metadata showing in the code. How do I make the keywords and description show in the header too? 'Show on Frontend' is currently set to 'Always' as I have made this test schema compulsary. Is it this field that should control whether it shows in the header?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Alison
Did you add a metadata design area in the head of your parse file?
You can also keyword replace your way to metadata nirvana in the contents of your asset.
%asset_metadata_nirvana%nirvana being your field name. If you have spaces in your name they are underscored out in the keyword.
Just wanted to add that using the show on front end setting only controls the display of the tag in the metadata design area. If you set this to no and keyword replace the filed into content of a page or asset list or some other diabolical use it will still display.
Great. That gives me lots to go on.
Thanks guys!
