I need to submit a request for implementation of our e-commerce module. We purchased all the modules and now it is clear that the ecommerce module is not fully meeting the description when we bought it.
Everything in 3.8.2 seems to be fine except the ecommerce module. Again it seems not to be complete. We can't even follow the manuals as it fails to talk about the other pieces such as, and in particular, the Product Asset or Product Page.

Is the ecommerce module being activly developed? It seems a little dead to me, along with the documentation.

The e-commerce module is a framework for the development of specific ecommerce solutions. We would consult with each client to exten the ecommerce module for each client’s specific needs. Hence, the base package isn’t being actively developed, while client-specific implementations are.
