Are there any plans for undo/redo within Easy Edit to perform more than the last action?

At the moment Easy Edit uses the Squiz Matrix default WYSIWYG editor. The interface is written in JavaScript so it is possible to drop in a different editor, however it isn't possible to replace all of the functionality offered by the current WYSIWYG so easily (It's a fair chunk of development time). It is something that has been raised internally, but I couldn't tell you whether or not it would happen.

I thought there was plans to make Vyper standalone?

Viper standalone =/= to integration with EES. There aren't any modules that replicate things like the insert image/link tool specifically for Matrix. That being said, it would be cool.
