Edit+ 1676 issue

Hi there,


We’re having problem with Easy Edit+. We can edit the asset content, but its lock does not released once saved?



In "Show Lock Details" of the asset, it shows the lock was still holding by the user and it will expire with a time.







We are currently using Edit+ 1676.

Hi Alice,


EES manages the locks on assets for you. When you navigate to the page in EES the locks are automatically acquired and refreshed on a 2 minute interval. EES retains these locks until you:


  • Navigate away to another asset using the asset finder or preview mode
    [*]Exit editing mode or logging out by using the buttons presented on the toolbar
    [*]Close the browser and let the locks expire within the set lock time


This is expected behaviour.

We do have a feature request to add a new interface element for manually releasing locks, but we have no plans to change the way I've described the locking features listed above.
