Email sent when new comment is added to blog

Hi,
I have set up a blog in Matrix within my intranet. All users of the intranet need to login and all users have an email address in their account.

I've found that I have to manually email people to let them know that someone has made a comment on their topic they created, and then again when the creator replies to that comment. Is there any way of an email being automatically sent to the creator plus anyone who has made a comment.

This forum is a good example. If I check the box: "Enable email notification of replies?" then the matrix forum will send me an email when someone comments on this topic.

To keep the matrix blog simple I would like to just have emails send automatically without giving the user the checkbox option

Thanks

Tim

You could probably make use of the Create User email keyword: %asset_created_by_email%

I would think that you could get this working using a series of triggers using the created condition. Have you tried anything along these lines?

Yep, you can definitely do with this triggers. I've currently got triggers set up with our site to send an email when there is something new added.

I'm also going to set one up to notify user groups when something has been added to their section of the site - I've tested it and works well!

Thanks very much Nick and mbedggood

That keyword has worked like a charm.
