Has anyone ever came across the problem which Outlook displays '=' (equal sign) at the end of each line in the email message?

Using PEAR Mail, Mail_Mime package to send message.
According to the client, Outlook is showing the email message as HTML but also showing equal sign at the end of each line. I hope someone with some experience using Outlook may shed some light on this. Any help will be much appreciated. Cheers.
Thunderbird and Gmail (and the Outlook on my computer) are showing the correct email message, as they decode the 'Quoted Printable' header correctly.
