On some of our terminal servers (Windows server 2008), when I click the links in multiple workflow emails, each individual tab of IE requires a Matrix login, even though there's an existing logged-in session on another tab.
I don't even know where to even look for a solution to that. Any suggestions where to start? Tabbed browser settings or something? I can't see anything in that that looks relevant.
Ta much,
Deb
Can sometimes come about if your ip address fluctuates, there is a setting to get around this if it is the case. In the system config about half way down there is a setting to allow ip to change, set it to "yes" and see how you go. Note: this is a matrix setting rather than a browser setting. If it doesn't help then I am not sure, sorry
Cheers

Hmmm, nope. Not unless it's going to take some time to take effect? Set it to Yes and tested immediately and still the same behaviour. Thanks for that idea, but didn't seem to help.
Sounds like your browser is creating new session if it is opened by clicking links in your email agent.
Try to copy and past those urls in the same window, check if you still asked for login.
Dear Lord, this is semi-random!
Pasting the URL into a new tab auto logged in. Here is a pattern of some things I tried, when I started trying to replicate the issue and getting occasional autologins, and trying to find what is the pattern that allows autologin to work. I have no clue.
No browser open.

(IE 8 by the way)
We upgraded all our terminal servers to IE9 overnight last night. This particular problem seems to have gone away. My test server connection that was doing this to me is no longer.
