I get the feeling there is something simple I am missing, but after generating a report on the backend fine, how do I generate it on the frontend? The page is trying to tell me to do something, but I can't figure out where to generate it for the frontend.
Front end component has not been generated for this report
You can't – reports (currently) do not have a frontend component. They are only visible in the Administration Interface.
Well that might be a nice-to-have thing down the road for other geeks out there that just want to see nice numbers like that. B)

We figure that anyone who should see what’s in a report, should probably have at least read access to the Backend Interface. 
Feel free to submit it as a feature request, though.
