Google Analytics in HTTPS - Secure

Hi, we have installed the secure tag generated from our Google Analytics account into our page code. We have received confirmation that Google is receiving data, i.e. the initial "received status", but are not receiving any data moving forward. Is there any reason why this would be happenning? Is Matrix or something else blocking this?

Thanks in advance.

No Matrix would not be blocking this.

Are you sure that your pages that you are tracking are public?

How long have you waited to check the analytics? It will take at least a day.

It'll take about a day. If you got a confirmation of data received you're ok…

So, a couple of things.

The code is on a site which is required to be logged into…but the login page also has the Analytics script, and does not send data. So, we thought, at least for the initial page we would see data coming in, and maybe even though the code is run on page the session check would block data being sent back past the login page, but no luck?

Any ideas? I thought Google would still send/recieve data from within an active session?

This should work since you are esentially sending data to Google rather than it requesting it. It basically just loads an image that contains all the data for your page:

    http://www.google-analytics.com/__utm.gif?utmwv=4.6.5&utmn=1031366832&utmhn=www.puc.edu&utmcs=UTF-8&utmsr=1440x900&utmsc=24-bit&utmul=en-us&utmje=1&utmfl=10.0%20r32&utmdt=Pacific%20Union%20College%20%7C%20Seventh-day%20Adventist%20Christian%20Education&utmhid=922524347&utmr=0&utmp=%2F&utmac=UA-331733-9&utmcc=__utma%3D187764009.2060967666.1259170410.1260229240.1260229837.7%3B%2B__utmz%3D187764009.1259170410.1.1.utmcsr%3D(direct)%7Cutmccn%3D(direct)%7Cutmcmd%3D(none)%3B

What you can do is, use Firefox, load up Firebug and look at the Net tab. You should see a GET command for __utm.gif ....blah blah blah. This is the image that loads for analytics and submits your data. If you see that it loaded ok, then everything should be fine.

Also, do you have the page we can look at?

Yes, all that is working in Firefox, and we do see the _utm.gif… I have no ideas?

Can we see the page?

And, does analytics still say waiting for data? Are you sure you have the correct tracker code in there?

No JS errors?

Ok, weird, the data has just started streaming in. We have had the tracking code in for 4 days now? Oh well, at least we know that behind a HTTPS login, Analytics will work (for now), using Matrix. Thanks for the helps anyway.

It does that sometimes. I've had a delay before like this.
