Currently in our test environment I created a site with few pages underneath.
I have applied the workflow,
made the site live but the problem occurs
when I right click on the URL and then acquire lock, tick the box as "https" for the site.
Then click on preview, this message comes up "please wait while you are redirected. If you are not redirected, please click here. It doesn't proceed at all.
I haven't got any redirect pages within my site. Therefore I am a bit confused why this is occurring. in the test environment.
I have attached a image of the problem I am having currently.
I believe this is a bug. When I tired it without any workflow on a new site and made it live, the preview works with or without HTTPS. However when I tried it on a site with workflow, the preview works without HTTPS and does not work with HTTPS.
The "Please wait" message is printed by the Remap Manager before it redirects you using a "Permanently Moved" header, so maybe you have some remaps causing you problems.
Go to the Remap Manager (as a sysadmin) and ensure there are no remaps for the URL you are attempting to navigate to.

[quote]Can you post the URL that it is trying to redirect to? the “click here” link will give that to you.

I tried to ‘click here’ to get the url. It is in an infinity looooooooooooooppppppp. Therefore it want let me do anything  at all.
[quote]Do you have a working SSL certificate? I suspect that an expired or invalid cert will cause some problems with HTTPS URLs.

Sorry I couldn’t reply to this earlier, I was in a conference all day today. I investigated just now and found out that we don’t have a valid SSL certificate yet. ’ /> Therefore I had to wait till 11 Dec 2006 to give you the final verdict. <img src=‘http://forums.matrix.squiz.net/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif’ class=‘bbc_emoticon’ alt=’<_<
