Hiding folders from menus

Can someone tell us if you can hide folders from the menus. IE - if the tags are to display 2nd level pages, but there is a particular folder/page you don't want to show up in the menu, can this be tagged in someway so that the menu tag doesn't show it?

Yes. On the Linking page, change its link from TYPE_1 (visible in the navigation) to TYPE_2 (not visible in the navigation).
