HIPO constantly stalling

Hi,

 

I've updated the Metadata Schema and regenerated the metadata. I knew that this would take a long time, but I have currently had it running for 4 hours and it's only at 10%. It constantly keeps on stalling and I’m having resume the job though the HIPO herder.

 

This happens quite a bit and I’ve noticed that I have to go into the HIPO Herder and push through jobs – sometimes deleting and then redoing them.

 

Is this normal and if I am doing a big job (like regenerating the metadata schema) can I still work on other pages or need to leave it running?

you might want to use regen_metadata_schemas.php script to run large jobs, if it's too painful to do it in web hipo.

Run the script at a off peak time would help load on the server.

 

You can open another browser tab to work on other things while the web hipo is running. it should be fine.

Although I'm not sure the cause of stalling, it would need investigation on your instance
