We have had CRON Manager dead lock issue last week. The system sent about 200 messages to all the administrators and authors in the system. Are we able to restrict this to a few users? Can someone help me with the instructions?

Cron Manager should only send mail to your Root User and System Administrator accounts (i.e. those in the Administrators folder in System Management). It also sends a mail to the email addresses configured in your main.inc (or Global Configuration screen). Could any of those be a distribution list for your authors, perhaps?
