Hi,
I have recently been asked to take over the maintenance of a site that uses MySource Matrix and must find a new host for the site. I have been very held up by eUKhost who originally said they would be able to set the site up, they first tried that on a shared package but then realised that couldn't be done and have set up a vp hosting package but now say the backup file supplied is not working. Basically, they appear to have no knowledge of MySource Matrix so I need to find a hosting company who can configure the server. I left a message with the UK office of MySource Matrix last week and had no reply and I have also sent a message to MySource Matrix via the web site but I have heard nothing back. Can anybody recommend a UK hosting company that knows how to install MySource Matrix and is of course at a resonable price?
Thanks
How big is the site, and how much traffic are you expecting from public users, and content authors?
It looks like Squiz UK is offering Matrix as a SaaS, so that would be the easiest option:
http://www.squiz.co.uk/about/Open-Source-CMS-News/news_items/mysource-matrix-open-source-cms-available-via-saas
Nic has had some luck with Slicehost:
http://forums.matrix.squiz.net/index.php?showtopic=5720
but that is a full VPS solution.

The site is not very big, the database dump I have is less than a Mb and traffic is not excessive with only one or two content editors, not enough to warrant a dedicated server. My only problem with slicehost is they appear to be a US hosting company, I would really like the server to be located in the UK for SEO purposes.
My client has agreed with the eUKhost prices, they're charging £69.99 per quarter for VPS hosting, this I think would be reasonable.
