Is there a way to recreate the original created, published, and updated dates for assets imported using the Squiz Matrix XML import tool?

I’ve tried to look at the XML of an dummy import (from an existing asset), but there doesn’t seem to be a command to recreate the original date.

I know you can manually update these attributes, once the assets are imported, but I wanted to try and avoid that if possible, as I’m importing several dozens assets.

How are you manually updating the creation, publication, or update dates of assets?

You can set these values in the metadata and export them along with your schema. It will retain the metadata values.

If you have multiple instances then you might want to check Asset Syncing Tool. Never tested it but seems like good option.
