Is this a proper file or the result of a core dump

Can someone tell me if this is a proper system file or a core dump. Thanks.

/mysource_matrix/data/private/assets/funnelback_manager/0005/21839/BusinessSchool/idx_new/core

Hi,

data/private/assets/funnelback_manager/XXXXX/xxxxx/abcdef/idx_new/ is path used by Funnelback/Matrix when a process of (re)indexing is being carried out by Funnelback.

What is the content of the file there? (may be first few lines)

As far as I can recall, funnelback or Matrix doesn't put a file named 'core' in those directory.

Hi Ash,

It's binary. Definitely looks like a core dump.

I think the log files go to /mysource_matrix/data/private/assets/funnelback_manager/0005/21839/BusinessSchool/logs (from memory), perhaps there is an entry in the log file as to why the core dump was produced? Also check with Squiz about what version of Funnelback OEM you have installed. I do remember an earlier version had a problem with a third party app causing errors (but not sure if a core dump was produced from it or not).
