Matrix 3.10 reports that Java 1.6 (which comes with IE 7) is unsupported.
Is there a Matrix release which supports Java 1.6.x?

No. Last time we tried, it seems that 1.6 completely breaks our tree code even though we have not updated it since 1.4. We still require 1.4 or 1.5 at this stage.
I have Java 1.5 installed by default and 1.6 installed to keep another application happy. All the other Java stuff finds the version they want. Matrix complains about 1.6 and does not use 1.5. Is there a way to tell Matrix to use 1.5 or to put 1.5 first in the search for Java?

This is based on the Browser you’re using (not Matrix). Ensure that the APPLET tag handling is being performed by 1.5.
Is a matrix version supporting 1.6 planned?
Yes. The new 1.6 compatible applet was committed into our development version a few days ago. If it passes internal testing, it should be released with v3.14.1 in June.
