I've just updated the installer so that there is no error handling of a few calls during step 3 (where you enter the system root). I've done this because there's been a lot of people get a blank screen during this step, which indicates an error during the call to fopen which is causing a fatal PHP error and causes the install to fail. Hopefully now someone will at least get the error message as I can't reproduce the error no matter how hard I try. If you used to get the blank screen error, please give it another go and paste any error message in this thread :). Thanks
