Link / button to external application

Is it possible to have a link or some kind of control button in a Matrix website that opens up a completely seperate application?

Do you mean nesting the contents of a remote web-based application (asp, jsp etc? See the remote content asset). If not, then you might need to clarify a bit further what you mean. If you are asking whether matrix can launch something like word, or another application then you are, of course, limited to what the browser is capable of doing.

I was hoping to be able to launch another application that is not bowser based. For example, providing some sort of control on the website to open up Solitare. Is this possible at all?

Please note that the following only works in IE on Win 2k and XP (anything with Windows Script Host 5.6 or later):

    Launch Solitaire!
