Link Manager Q

Hi Folks,

Got a link manager asset and it lists standard pages from the root node of a site as potential parents to a new link. BUT I only want it to show 2 of the standard pages (rather than the 7 at the top level). There doesn't seem to be a way to limit this? I tried omitting the Asset Selection root node and just listing the two under 'List Position Settings' but that just returns no results. I guess I could fudge it by setting the status' to 'Under Review' or whatever but that seems wrong somehow. Any Ideas?

Also when editing the 'Default Format' the Asset Lineage keyword doesn't seem to work?

Cheers

I would create a Folder to use as a root node and then link the two standard pages you want to appear in your Link Manager underneath it. The nifty trick is to remove the web path from the Folder asset so that the standard pages don't get an additional URL.

Just to tidy up the post - It does work when I moved things down a level - but didn't at the top level as the site name isn't included in the asset lineage keyword (unlike the the design options)...

The Asset Listing asset has an option on the details screen to specify whether or not asset lineage keywords include the site. I'm not sure if that's available on Link Manager assets, though. If it is only used in one site, you could just hard-code the link manually in the Type Format bodycopy before the lineage keyword.
