Hello,
Can anyone explain how to link a thumbnail?
We have assets on our homepage which have thumbnail ie. The headline of the story and then an image (or thumbnail) next to it.
Instead of just clicking on "Read More" we want to be able to click on the thumbnail.
Any tips?
Thank you in advance

Hey there, I assume this is coming out of an asset listing? In which case you can write something along the lines of
%asset_thumbnail%
So you manually link the thumbnail. Hope this helps
Ok great, and what section do I go into to enter that code? Metadata? Sorry I'm very much a novice at this.

You would find the asset listing that is listing those assets. Then, expand the asset listing, and look in the type formats folder. Then edit the type format for the asset type that you are listing.

No worries
Locate your asset listing and open it to display the assets beneath it, there should be a folder called Type Formats - open this as well. Now you should see an asset called Default Format (there may also be others). Right click on it and select Edit Content. Wrap the thumbnail code currently displayed (%asset_thumbnail%) with the anchor tags as mentioned above so you end up with <a href="%asset_url%">%asset_thumbnail%</a>.
If there are assets other than Default Format under Type Formats it means that various assets get displayed in a different way. It might be best if you get some help from Squiz support or someone else with Matrix experience.

Also, he/she can check out the MySource Matrix Manuals as all this is very well documented.
