Links from a geographical map

Hi

 

I have a map of Australia which I want to use to link to hundreds of standard pages. The standard pages are NOT in State/Territory folders because they are used in alphabetical and numerical asset listing pages.

 

What would be the best method to use? Once the user clicks on a State, I want a list of only those in that State. 

 

I have tried using a Metadata field for each state with an asset listing page, but this is not working.

 

Any advice appreciated.

Have you tried using a search asset with a get variable of state?  So the URL for each state would have something like ?state=qld, ?state=wa etc.

Search would show a list of those results i.e return all pages that have a metadata value of qld or wa and so on

NickyP is right.  You can't do filtering by metadata with an Asset Listing, only grouping.  Use a search asset to filter.
