Matrix 3.8.1 - installation fail step_02

Hi,


I came into step_02 with the following error:



MySource Error

Error occurred [SYS0270]

[0] => DB Error: no such table

SELECT type_code, version, name, instantiable, allowed_access, parent_type, dir, customisation, description, lvl

FROM sq_ast_typ [nativecode=ERROR: relation "sq_ast_typ" does not exist]



Apache 2.0.55, php: 4.3.11, postgresql 7.4.12



Appreciate if someone can help.

Did you try and install before and have it fail on you?


It sounds like a previous attempt at an install left behind some information in the DB and filesystem so Matrix thinks it is installed.



You may want to try starting the whole thing again (wipe the Matrix filesystem and DB first).

Thanks for fast response… I start from begining again and it works well. Now I can access the front URL OK. Again Thanks.

I am trying to install on a new system, I am at step 2 using 3.8.2

You're trying to use a CGI PHP binary to install Matrix. You need to compile or obtain a CLI PHP binary. Most likely, you're not specifying the correct path to the Matrix location to step_02.php – this is more difficult to do if you're using the CGI binary.
