Matrix reports and asset types

Hi all, wondering if someone can explain to me the difference between the following asset types in the out of the box reports. 

  • Page Standard
  • Page

I ran an Asset Count report on one of my sites with 'Page standard' selected and then ran the same report with the type 'Page' also added and I got a significantly higher result.

Hi,

the "Page" asset type is merely a parent category that many assets are based of such as "Standard page", "asset listing page", "search page", "news item" asset etc. 

 

So when you do a search for "Page" types, it will include all child type assets that are based off it as well.
