Matrix upgrade to 4.0?

Are there any steps to upgrading to the new Squiz Matrix 4.0? After looking at the Squiz Suite site, it seems the download is only in a VM. Is our only option now to use a VM?

Upgrade from 3.28 to 4.0 will be done via upgrade scripts rather than manual steps. These scripts will be released over the coming weeks.

Greg, what about a fresh install of 4.0. Is the VM the only option?

For now yes, or public CVS checkout.

Upgraded my installation of 3.28.8 to 4.0.2 just today. Everything is in order and working fine! Will keep an eye on it to see how it goes.

Yeah, 4.0.2 is working really well for me too…

We're on 4.0.1.


The Marketing guys are really loving the new Easy Edit functionality. Makes life a lot easier.
