Hi all
Will there be a major issues or reasons if a user creates a 'image' folder and place all the images under there site instead of using the 'media' folder. What is the benefit if any by using the Media Folder. Based on the 101 documentation they have placed the images there- PG 17.
Cheers

There is no real difference, other than you can assign a URL to the Media folder, where as you can't assign a URL to a folder (if it is not within a site). Use it or don't use it in a way which most suits you system.
Actually, the main difference is that the Media Folder is always web accessible, so any images you put in there will have a URL by default. A normal folder needs to be placed under a web accessible location (like a site or the Media Folder) so that images inside it get URLs.
