Is there some way to exclude some items from a menu. As an example, I have a privacy page that I don't want to show up in my main menu. I guess this would also apply to the 404 page I'd like to create. The issue I have is that I would like it to be able to show up in some menus (like a list along the bottom of the page that just shows top level items), but not others (like the main side nav that includes all sub items as well).

To do this you would go to the linking screen of the asset and set it to a type 2 link. For the lis along the bottom of the page you would either hard code those links into the design or nest an asset list that lists type 2 links and only lists 1 level. Unless you want all the asssets in the asset list in which case you would allow it to list both type2 and type1.
