Metadata selection field content

I'm going to try and explain this best I can, as I am still learning SQUIZ as I go and its only been a few weeks. Anyway we have events pages with many options that are to be filled out when creating the event. Much of this data comes from the Metadata Selection Field.

I need to make an adjustment to include some extra data into one of the fields. It is a drop down list where you choose a contact entity and then it pushes in the title and the contact details (phone and email). Anyway, I have gone in to add an additional Option Key and Option Value under the Settings section of the "details screen" of the metadata item.

I am yet to see where the contact data can actually be added (email and phone number) so it pulls this information in when a member of our staff creates an event and chooses a contact from the drop down list. I just don't know where this data comes from. I suspect it is a paint layout but I'm still on the training bike when it comes to Paint Layouts for now.

I'll add some screenshots to illustrate where I am working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just don't know where to look, I've already tried several places. metadata-selection-field-1.jpg (98.7 KB) metadata-selection-field-2.jpg (105 KB)

You saying the phone and email get populated in field when you choose a contact entity? Sound like javascript is doing this work. Do you have a link to the public page?

Also, NOT trying to be a jerk about this at all, I just want to make sure the posts are clear for others. Just make sure when you are posting to mention the product instead of the company. E.g. Matrix instead of Squiz, so that we know which Squiz product you are using. Thanks!

Hey Nic. Not a problem. I am new to the flock. It is Squiz Matrix v4.18.4.

Here is a link a sample page where the contact info gets pulled in: http://www.slq.qld.gov.au/whats-on/calevents/kd/a-thousand-words

The info comes in a <dt> <dd> element.

Is there a paint layout applied to that page? If so, can you right click on the type format and choose Conditional Keywords? Are there any?

HI @Nic, How do I find out if a paint layout has been applied to the page?

HI @Nic, How do I find out if a paint layout has been applied to the page?

Right click the page and then choose "Paint Layouts" (Lookup Settings in old versions). Then if you see one applied, click the binoculars icon to show it in the Asset Map.

Cool. I did find the "Lookup Settings" option. I did see that a paint layout has been applied. I will now edit the paint file to include the additional information that is necessary.

Thanks for your assistance.
